This weekend, February 20-21, we will open our new workshop, exhibition, and community space for photography in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. We are located in Colonia San Antonio at 20 de Enero Norte 110, an urban loft with traditional Mexican architecture. We are mounting an exhibition of work from the SEEK team, including photos from Chris Capozziello, Erica McDonald, Eric Mencher, Spencer Platt, Kerry Sherck, Andrew Sullivan, and Elizabeth Watt. The work has been printed beautifully by our friends Ted Davis and Ri Anderson.
Spencer's work will be shown on 7.5 foot-long rolls of vellum, and include images from Iraq, Congo, and the Syrian refugee crisis. Q will be showing images from Asia, while Eric, Andrew, Elizabeth and Kerry all present pictures from Latin America. Chris presents photos from his long-term, in-depth documentary projects.
We'll also be presenting beautiful 4x5 landscapes from Dan Borris, Mexico City photographer Alessandro Bo, Guanajuato photographer and filmmaker Michael James Wright, chef and restaurateur Donnie Masterton, artist Anado McLauchlin, photographers Linda Bacon and Beverly Pearce, and psychologist Eliane Ronzon.
Our beloved friends at the best cafe in San Miguel de Allende, La Mesa Grande, will selling beer and mezcal, and serving their amazing foccacia. And our pal DJ Symmetry, who is known for his funky mixes that he's played at the Burning Man Festival, will be playing lots of fun music.
Please come out and join us at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 for lots of fun and have a street portrait taken!
