Delicious images of food are everywhere these days as more and more people are drawn to documenting their culinary experiences. In this workshop we’ll focus on key aspects of beautiful food imagery: lighting, styling, camera, angle, composition, and propping. Using natural and artificial lighting we’ll explore how to make the strongest visual statement, elevating our food photographs from the realm of ‘snapshot’ to the realm of art. We’ll travel to local food markets to capture the quintessential ingredients, as well as collaborating with local chefs on location here in San Miguel.
Elizabeth brings her years of experience shooting food from her Manhattan based studio where her editorial clients have included Food & Wine, Bon Appetite, Martha Stewart Living, Town and Country, as well as many cookbooks and advertising clients such as Pepperidge Farms, Campbells, Neiman Marcus and Rosewood resorts.
